Jade Windscreen 2020

Jade Windscreen 2020 is a response to the environmental conditions that have developed this year across the globe.   It creates a clear sentinel response and awakens the immune system. 

Jade Windscreen 2020 is based on the traditional formula Yu Ping Feng San, which translates as “Jade Windscreen”.  This herbal combination responds to “wind”, a TCM term associated with external or environmental influences.  Our “Windscreen” protects the surface, our outermost energetic layer and interface with the world.  This guardian function is precious, hence its attribution as precious jade. 

The particular modifications to this foundation are modeled on formulas utilized in China this year to protect those working in contact with the epidemic.  These formulas are being widely employed for people whose work brings them in contact with exposures, including medical workers in Chinese hospitals.  The modification includes the herbs Pei Lan and Chen Pi.   Pei Lan is part of the Chinese herbal arsenal to address “epidemic” pathogens.  Pei Lan is suited to this particular epidemic as it protects against the most turbid and insulting pestilence.  Concurrently, Pei Lan grounds and facilitates concentration in the midst of turbulence. It is an herb used at various stages of Daoist cultivation to aid meditation through the chaos of the mind. The herb Chen Pi is used to open the chest and clear phlegm, preventing anything to take hold in a sticky mediumship. By clearing phlegm, it heightens awareness, awakens and rids occlusion to the senses, crucial for times of great challenge and change.
